Sept. 09 - Hi Joan I just wanted to thank you and let you know we had a fabulous week in your cottage. The facilities and cottage were perfect. We were very lucky with the weather which let us climb cats bells canoe and just enjoy the lakes sometimes holidays with a teenage can be stressful but the pool and gym seemed to hit the spot. All going well we would love to return to your cottage again.

We have returned from a fabulous week at Whitbarrow. Having a teenager we wanted a holiday which would suit everyone, and it worked a treat. Derwant water is close by and having tried our hand at canoeing, on it and walking up Cats Bels were always delighted to return and make full use of the facilities, our teenager raved about the gym whilst we found the sauna and steam room most relaxing after our busy days.
Our cotage was well equiped and provided an excellent base. We ate in the restaurant three times and each time had a lovely meal. I would reccommend this holiday to anyone who wants to chill out and relax, or go for a more action packed holiday. The pictures provided give an excellent view of how the cottage actually looks.. The only minor difference is that the jacuzzi has been moved so you now sit and look out a huge window to the beautiful scenery and hills beyond. Thank you for a wonderful week.

This property is excellent if you have young children. The house itself was lovely and clean and was well equipped, right down to toilet paper. As it was on a resort there was excellent customer service. It never felt like a resort, even though we were informed that the resort was full it was lovely and quiet and never felt crowded. The communal areas were clean and well maintained and the swimming pool was perfect on rainy days. All the facilities on the resort were well maintained. We had a lovely stay. It is very close to the Rheged Centre which is great for food and for finding something different to take home and again a fantastic facility if you have small children as there is a soft play there. The house is also well located if you want to explore the lake district as it was close, but not too close to the A66.
